Jam In The Hammock3 : Another event MORE fun and New Bands occupied the two stages this 3rd time around! On November 19th 2011 at Jt's Seafood Shack very talented and original regional bands located in our own State of Florida came out to entertain Flagler County. If you missed it then you just may have missed very promising future national bands. Again I must say like have in the past that these band perform ORGINAL music and their fan base is PHENOMENAL! Their support is PHENOMENAL.. I enjoyed capturing the interactions and the sharing. Bear Creek "Not Covering" a Guest of 3rd Stone...EYES wide open more : Ok...So I WAS not hired out to capture anything but was a very GRATEFUL guest of Quintina Crawford and 3rd Stone....THE IMAGES ARE NOT ABUNDANT because it was a totally awesome and laid back experience for my virgin eyes lol...but I have no doubt that next year I will be capturing all that there is to see and will love every moment knowing that I will be able to share not only the sights but also moving footage of one of the many great events that Florida has to offer....3rd Stone Band Fan enjoy the antics and the stage shared with Roosevelt The Doctor...smiling.....amazing 2 days..very enlightening and life changing.....Tasia

Free Jam In the Hammock II April 3 2011 : What an event! If you missed this one then there may be another chance to see great entertainment by some very major bands located in our own State of Florida in the near future. What is so very special about these beautiful creatures of music is that all the music is original and their fan base is PHENOMENAL! The event was presented by Brian Groff of Scholars Word http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1420277451 Brian is well known for his festival promotions that bring so many cultures together as one. Brian is a great source to contact for small or large scale events and I was happy that The Free Jam came back to Flagler County because of its rich blend of togetherness and culture where everyone is welcome. This seems to be the best kept secret, but I have a feeling it will not stay that way for too long. All genres of music was heard on April 3rd 2011, from bluegrass, fusion, funk, folk, world, jazz blend....you name it was heard! Two stages occupied the Jam area so that the music streamed out for the crowd to hear NON STOP! The technical crew worked ceaselessly throughout the night ensure everything ran smoothly between and during sets, I was so very impressed with what was going on behind the scenes as well as the music. One of the highlights of the evening was fire Dancer Elise Brodrique of Orlando Florida, she entertained us with her unique dance with her fans of fire. The children were delighted as well as the adults who witness her performance. This evening was enjoyed by all that attended the Jam and as the crowds thinned at the close of the evening one thing was certain .....The messages was being played loud and clear for 11 hours...WE ARE HERE...WE ARE ONE...COME TOGETHER TO LIVE LOVE LEARN AND SUPPORT ALL COMMUNITIES AND OUR MUSIC FAMILY....and in the eyes of the children I witnessed flames of passion as they danced, motioned playing instruments, sang and sometimes stood still and silent in awe of the performers....smiling...they are our future.. Fire Dancer Elise Brodique : The mesmerizing Fire Dancer Elise Brodrique put on a great performance at the Free Jam in The Hammock's . Elise performed before a large mesmerized crowd, her energy sinewy moves were enhanced by flames that she tamed. We all were impressed how she handled the tools of her trade. Fans: fire fan is made of a number of wicks in a fan. They are more often used by fire dancer as a interesting prop that gives the effect of a extended hand with the power of fire at there fingertips. The Taste Hosts Art Showing Featuring; Benjamin Sawinksi : On February 5th and 6th 2011 "Taste" restaurant which received rave reviews from the Orlando Weekly, Sentinel and Orlando Leisure hosted an art showing featuring talented artists one of which was Benjamin Sawinski originally of Milwaukee Wisconsin but now residing in Orlando Florida. The first time that I viewed Sawinski's art was at the Masquerade Art Ball hosted by Benjamin Moseley in Orlando at the Heaven Event Center. "Martha" his beautiful, striking pinup inflamed mannequin greeted guests as they entered the Masquerade Ball. His amusing way of using his art to advertise was genius, using her hands to hold out his business cards! Martha was present at his showing at Taste. His dark and moody art is balanced with his great sense of humor, contagious energy and welcoming demeanor. Art is is his life and this artist enjoys sharing his techniques and inspirations for his creations. Ridikulus Kouture Fashion Show - 2010 : Fashion Designer Rodrick Burke of RidiKulus Kouture Put On a Steller All White Salsa Fashion Show and Party in Orlando at The Ballroom at Church Street on Augutst 27th 2009. Mr Burke "is the visionary mind behind Ridikulus Kouture. A native Jamaican based in America, Rodrick's work includes label Dyme Wear which is already a globally recognized phenomenon. Ridikulus Kouture is a clothing line and lifestyle movement breaking all ethnic boundaries". (market wire) The guests enjoyed the red carpet walk, paparazzi, live entertainment and the excitement of waiting to view the fashion line of Rodrick Burke. While waiting for the fashion show we all marveled at the elaborate decor and the posh surrounding of the mansion. As soon as the festivities started it was full surprises from the Fire Eater, Martial Artists on the runway to Salsa Dancers entertaining all the way from Texas. D.J Chino (Orlando's local radio D.J) rocked the crowd with saucy Latin music all night in the main room and if guests did not know how to salsa well there was FREE FREE FREE Salsa lesson with Salsa great Jay Stylz. The famous MAGNA GOPAL iwas in attendance as well as dance performances by "CLIFF ANDERSON AND VALERIE MARTINEZ" and "SANDY DeLARA AND ROBERTO LAY" from Dallas, TX. And if that wasn't enough for you, In courtyard 1, NEW WORLD BEAT reggae band (LIVE!!) and in courtyard 2, DJ Kareem playing the latest hiphop beats. As for the clothing? It was RIDIKULUS! Fresh, exciting and appealing to the age group of 17-30 this collection was funky eclectic and bold! ANOTHER CONCERT IS PLANNED FOR APRIL 3RD 11AM-12AM The weekend of December 4th 2010 was a busy one, my last stop took me to an event in the Hammock at Palm Coast. I debated whether or not I should drag myself out of my car and visit Jt's Seafoood Shack for a free concert featuring Florida's top name bands. With my decision made, I pulled off and started to drive back home, and just as quickly I turned the car around, parked and trudged the Doc's through the dirt and posted my weary body against a side wall to take in the atmosphere. As I waited for the previous band to dismantle their gear, I could see the anticipation on the faces of those starting to mill into the concert area, and I was about to experience the reason why there was such a fervent energy emanating from the crowd. The line up is a little off for this one....my impromptu visit was more of the fun side than photography....this was my SNOW day! From the very first song played by each of the evening bands that took the stage, the crowd was jamming, dancing, fist pumping....as well me...I was in awe of Burlington Breeze Project the promoters of the event. The style of music was so unexpected that I was mesmerized by the sounds, togetherness and fervent energy transferred from the band to the crowd (this explains so little photo's). But I will there to catch the next performance! Believe that! "THE DRUMMER IS SICK"! If you would like to catch the next performance they will be playing at the Close to the Edge Music & Arts festival in Edgewater, Florida Dec 19 2000. http://www.burlingtonbreezeproject.com/ Scholar's Word our local Flagler County band was "THE TRUTH" a funky Reggae band with a message. The rhythmic beat that had us all swaying and mesmerized. The lead singer the General with a voice so melodic......it flowed like the locs of his hair that reach to eternity. ...feeling my roots part Guyanese my soul was satisfied......"Nuff Said"...http://www.myspace.com/scholarsword Up next in my recollection was Funkus! And boy did they! Bluesy with a strong R&B background this band gets lost in what they obvious love to do and that is play some damn good music! Their music ranges from slow and meaningful to a strong and intense beat that can move a crowd....this is a must see again band for me....I need to understand more.....http://www.funkus.com/ 3RD Stone...its safe to say that yup I have a crush on this band (smiling)....The rowdiest and most interactive band of the night, they directed the crowd into fist pumping, arm waving and insane bursts of dancing! 3RD Stone has an absolutely contagious energy. The whole night had the feel of WOODSTOCK and this band would have fit into that era just as easily as it fit into this event. The music is funky, heavy, there are three vocalist among them and one that uses spoken word/rap to get across a message... MASQUERADE ART BALL 2010 : On October 30th 2010, Hollows Eve Mr Harrison Moseley (Charity Art Event Coordinator, Director of The ART Expo, The ART Ball, The Edge of ART, AARTA) and founder of Art Reach Foundation, hosted the much anticipated Masquerade Art Ball at the Lush Heaven Event Center located in Orlando Florida. What a gracious, crowd pleasing host Mr Moseley was on this very special night. As he made his way through the crowds, he personally made contact with everyone and made sure that the attendees were taken care of the whole evening....This is one very charming, charitable and gracious host. Mr. Harrison's large events benefit Cancer Research and is also a platform for local artist to show, sell and share their art with the community. Another fact about ARF is that the organization is very passionate about Youth Art Arwareness and keeping the art community alive. Saturdays event did not disappoint, the Venue was lush, stunning, and the attendee's were greeted by a red carpet, paparazzi (nice ones) and the Beautiful Ms. Lindy Colvin. It was candy to my eyes to see the guests superbly dressed with faces hidden by elaborate, unique and even comical masks. There were so many photo ops for all the photographers! We were entertained throughout the night by the large personality of D.J Amber of Pro Girl D.J's of Orlando Florida and also by a group of classically trained musicians that played stringed instruments. The twist to this awesome group is that they infused an electronic sound and custom arranged each song that was played throughout the night. The crowd was drawn to the soothing melodies of classical music with a rocking beat. As the crowd mixed and mingled viewing the beautiful art and conversing with the artists, another attraction had the crowd's attention. Blissful Lotus's Stacey Murphy and Sean Ramsay Live Corset Display and booth saw lots of fun action. It was so amusing to see the booth visited and attendees sitting inside, chatting, having cocktails served by Jimmy Freitas Bottom's Up Beverage from West Palm Beach. The buzz is still out about this elaborate Masquerade Art Ball...but a bigger buzz is being made about something SPECTACULAR FOR THE NEW YEAR!
